Noreen’s Birthday

Jeneane has already blogged on this, but here is my account.

Noreen turned 60 last Wednesday and, as Thursday was Waitangi Day, we went down to Christchurch for a few days. Denise, Janie and Gary organised a wonderful picnic at Te Onepoto/Taylors Mistake. It was a lovely day and we travelled there in Gary’s house bus.

A glorious picnic was held

there were strawberries (and chocolate dipping sauce)

relaxation was practised

we paddled in the sea (can you see the hang gliders over the hills?)

Noreen cut her cake and had her photo taken for Jeneane’s blog.

After it was all over, Noreen and I spent the night in luxury at the Governors Bay Hotel.

The next morning breakfast was taken on the verandah

from where there are good views over Lyttleton Harbour.
