Jen wanted to see photos of this year’s
vegetable crop – so happy to oblige.
The broad beans have not been so prolific as last year
but there are a few pods fattening up
nicely (those are two of the newer rhubarb plants in the foreground – next year
I am replacing the beans with rhubarb as it seems to do well there). In contrast the tomatoes are the best we have ever had (note inadvertent self portrait in the reflection).
The fruit is still a long way from harvest so we shall hope for some good weather to help them along.
In other news, Sam and Bex have been with us this week. They flew back to Australia this afternoon and we had a quick lunch at the Spruce Goose.
We are thinking of having a combined 60th for Noreen and 30th for Jenny party here in March – possible taking over the top storey.
It is a good spot to view surfing and planes landing.
