We were down south over the (long) Easter
weekend. The main reason for going was to attend the wedding of our friend
Janie to Gary. Denise was Best Woman – a bridesmaid by any other name.
The wedding was at Newbery Lodge, a wonderful old house in extensive grounds. Luckily it was fine enough to have the ceremony on the lawn.

Jenny, Noreen and I in our posh frocks.
While we were in Christchurch Denise dragged us out on
several walks. The biggest was from Taylor’s Mistake up to Godley Head, and
back. It was a very hot day and everything was very brown and dry as we have
had little rain this year.
My new camera has a panorama feature – you take three interlocking photos and it knits them together. I was experimenting with this and will inflict the results on you. This is looking back across Taylor's Mistake, back past Christchurch and out to Pegasus Bay.
This is from Godley Head showing the entrance to Lyttelton Harbour.
I spotted this seal from high up on the cliff. It was just leisurely basking and sunning itself.
The return journey was inland and over the downs, that's Christchurch in the middle distance,
before descending back into Taylor's Mistake bay
where Noreen, Denise and the dog had a paddle.
This last panorama is from the top of the Worsley Track.
