Kaukau
We haven’t been up Mount Kaukau for a while so as Saturday morning dawned fairly fine we thought we would get some training in. (We are doing a three day walk down south in a fortnight.)
We came up through Khandallah Park which has a nice bush section before bursting above the tree line onto the more exposed ridges. Here Noreen is striding ever upwards
and looking a bit puffed as the ground levels off near the summit.
Andy was checking where he was.
Although it was a bit misty and breezy there were good views from the top. This is looking south at one of the Cook Strait ferries nearing home.
