Botanic Gardens

Today we went for a gentle stroll through the Wellington Botanic Gardens which start at the bottom of our street. Photographs courtesy of Dave Firth and the anonymous bystander who took this one of the group of us in the summer house by the duck pond.

The spring flowers are coming on nicely

and the garden is waking up after the winter rest,

There are a number of scultures dotted around the park including a Henry Moore work

and the Rudderstone which has an interesting see through effect caused by reflections.

You neglected to append the correct pre-modifying adjectives to "Henry Moore work". They are, 'ugly, unsightly and totally out of place'. Also, one may add 'it was better when it was the Moa tree' as a post script if one wishes.
One does.

This is your personal opinion, one to which you are undoubtedly entitled, but it does not reflect the consensus of informed artistic judgment.

We love you anyway
