Arrival in the UK

Well, we have arrived safely in good old Mother England. It was a good flight up from Bangkok and we picked up a rental car, drove down to Eileen and Peter's, and have now checked into the hotel which has free wifi and internet. Which means I can post a few pictures of the Journey So Far.

This is the view of Sydney Airport from the Air NZ A320 has we flew in yesterday. It's not very good quality as the windows were dirty and the early morning sun was making it very hazy.
Parramatta has a nicely preserved old town centre. This the Anglican (if I remember correctly) church.
Here are Noreen and our friend Bob.
The Sydney public transport system is large and efficient. The airport is well served with an underground rail link to the central city. I love the double decker carriages.
This is in Bangkok airport. A plastic temple and palm trees for the tourists
Jet lag is starting to kick in. I shall try to stay awake as long as possible. The next few days will be spent with Noreen's sister and mother so may be difficult to find riveting topics for blogging. At the least there should be some interesting country pubs!
