Moonshine 10Km run

Today a few of us participated in a 10 kilometre event in Upper Hutt. Before the start we looked fit and relaxed.
About 1200 people took part. It was all on the flat and started by going around Trentham Memorial Park. Here is the line behind me soon after the start (I was near the back).
Jane and Noreen looking pretty relaxed some way into the run when they passed me coming back (apologies for being slightly out of focus).
This was the welcome sight of the “turn around” tree – 5.8Km in so well over half way.
Andy and I raced the last few hundred metres, he just pipped me to the post. Our unofficial time is one hour twenty five minutes which we were quite proud of and celebrated with a coffee.
After a sumptuous lunch at the Firths’ we eased our weary limbs in the spa. (The glasses might contain gin and tonic which I admit is quite decadent for the middle of the afternoon.)
